Our MD, Rosemary Francis, was honoured to win the first ever Techpreneur of the year award. Entering the veteran’s category, for existing businesses and startups, Rosemary was praised for the ‘true tech’ nature of Ellexus and the scalability of the business plan.
The winner of the ‘conceptual’ category award was Laura Willoughby MBE of Club Soda, which aims to help people to change their drinking habits.
The Techpreneurs award was set up by Fiona Scott Lazareff at a Women’s University Club on London. The club was set up more than a hundred years ago for women who were fortunate enough to attend university. Since it is now common for women to attend university, she wanted to set up a network of support and a way of celebrating achievement for women in an area that is still male dominated. Fiona is herself an entrepreneur in the publishing world as well as being a sportswoman and pilot.
Rosemary is pictured here with Joe representing the sponsors Bailey Fisher executive search and Victoria, MD of Vet CT, who was also highly commended by the judges. We very much look forward to being part of such a talented community.
