One of our senior developers, Richard Jordan, took the floor for the first time a few weeks ago to deliver an outstanding talk at the NMI ‘Accelerating Verification‘ event. Despite not being a regular speaker he received excellent feedback from the audience of peers in the semiconductor industry. His talk was praised as coming from an unconventional angle at the topic of accelerating computational flows.
The event was looking at the problem of increasingly lengthy verification simulations that are critical to get right if you are to be sure that you microchip will work. Rather than focus on the algorithmic details of EDA flows, Richard was speaking about the work Ellexus have done on profiling application IO patterns in order to speed up the simulations.
